Liz Barnhart hails from Potomac, MD and began spending her summers at the Delaware beaches in 1975. She worked at a local ice cream parlor and lifeguarded throughout high school and college breaks. After graduating from the University of New Hampshire in 1997 with a psychology degree, she received her certification from the University of North Carolina to teach high school Spanish, followed by attaining a Masters in Guidance Counseling from Wilmington University. Liz worked as both a Spanish teacher and guidance counselor at Sussex Technical High School. Subsequently, she worked part-time teaching Spanish at Del-Tech Community College while raising two young daughters. She stayed active as a board member of Rehoboth Children’s Summer Theater, Worcester Preparatory School, and Epworth Preschool volunteer.
Liz is an award-winning realtor whose focus on client satisfaction helped increase her successful transactions in 2015 more than 180% from the previous year. By 2019, Liz earned the runner-up spot as top producing individual agent for Ocean Atlantic Sotheby's. She brings an intimate knowledge of coastal Delaware's neighborhoods and amenities to her clients, having lived at the beach for over 20 years.
Working closely with her buyers, sellers, and colleagues, she ensures that every phase of the real estate transaction is as seamless as possible. Liz prides herself on delivering a personalized real estate experience, in which her clients speak and work with her directly throughout the process, resulting in her "clients" becoming "friends" when the transaction comes to a close.
